The Muni, Springfield, Il

Yesterday we went to The Muni to watch The wizard of oz. First time to watch a musical haha pathetic. Nice place though, it was an open area and some people who werent on the reserved area brought with them foldable chairs and picnic blankets. There was this person who interpreted for the hearing impaired.

State Fair at Springfield, Il

So we went on the first day of the state fair. It was fun. Rides, fried twinkies, fried snickers, milkshakes. I went with my wife Lia, too bad pets are not allowed so we left junny at our apartment. But we brought him something--a stuffed toy we 'won' from that shooting game. There was also this 'Filippino' store. Nice.

St. Louis and Stanton, Mo

Lunch at Pi and then to the caves in meramec caverns. 2-3 hours drive from springfield. I say underground river in Palawan, Philippines is better.

Springfield, Il

I will be posting pictures of the place where my wife Lia and our dog Junny now live.  It is a good place to start.  Quiet, spacious, full of cornfields (!), with drive-in theater nearby.  The tallest structure, Hilton Hotel, in springfield is 107m (very modest indeed) and the rest of the buildings have about 4 floors maximum. Very nice, just the America I know since i was a child.  Welcome to old america.
